AICUP’s Annual Student Aid Advocacy Day at the Capitol!
AICUP is once again sponsoring Student Aid Advocacy Day. This is a day set aside each year for the students from our member institutions to lobby for legislative support for private institutions of higher education. It is not only a great opportunity to remind our legislators that their constituents attend private colleges and universities but also lends an excellent educational experience for the participating students.
This year's advocacy day primarily focuses on opposing a 50% proposed cut in institutional assistance grants, maintaining funding of PHEAA grant programs and growing the Ready to Succeed Scholarship program so that more middle-income students can benefit from the financial help it provides.
We look forward to seeing all of our members for another successful Student Aid Advocacy Day!
