Client Services Representative
PLS has an opening for a full time, high energy sales and marketing professional. Duties are diverse but include maintaining client information on our main system, responding to client inquiries, assisting in the creation of promotional material and video session coverage. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented team player who is able to multitask and work independently and is familiar with the legislative process. Knowledge of Photo Shop or other graphic software as well as PLS is a plus. Work hours vary with some evenings and all legislative session days required. Looking for a hands-on experience in state government? PLS is always looking for legislative reporting interns for semester-long stints at our Harrisburg office. Duties include covering committee meetings, public hearings and press conferences, writing stories on those events, and posting updates online. Interns will be compensated and we are willing to work to ensure academic credit is received when possible. Hours can range from 20-40 hours/week, depending on the needs of the intern, the schedule of the legislature, and the number of interns hired. The ideal candidate will have an interest in politics and/or the political process, excellent writing skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and other computer suites. Reporting experience is a plus. We accept applications on a rolling basis.
