Helpful Enhancements and New Features
 
newYear First Elected: Displayed on every member page directly beneath the member’s “Counties Represented”.
 
cid:image001.gif@01CC6312.6D011390Campaign Contributions is now sortable: Want to see members’ contributions by date? By amount? By contributor? Just log in to the Capitol Toolbox>click to any member’s page>scroll down to the section Campaign Contributions, click, and you can sort the information however you wish.
 
newFind Bills Fast: Want to find all legislation amending a specific Pamphlet Law, such as the Tax Reform Code, the Public School Code or Municipalities Planning Code, but you’re not sure of the specific legal info?
 
In the Capitol Toolbox go to: the Search Tab>Text Search to do a search to find the Pamphlet Law. For example, if you wanted to find all the bills amending the Municipalities Planning Code enter in the text search box “municipalities/1/planning/1/code”. In the results, you will see the statute citation, which reads “…the act of July 31, 1968 (P.L.805, No.247)”. Using this information, go to the Search tab>statute search>select Pamphlet Law from the first drop-down box and simply enter the year and number with a hyphen (i.e. 1968-247 for the Municipalities Planning Code)  in the “citation” search box.
 
newMember Votes by Date Range and/or by Subject: Now you can choose to see any member’s votes by date range. The votes are also further selectable by subject matter.
 
newSave Searches: Now your saved searches are carried over from session to session. No need to re-enter them each session. Remember, you can save any advanced search simply by entering a title in the “Name of Saved Search” field before compiling the search. If you wish to delete any, just load the search and click on “delete saved search”.
 
newEvents calendar update: Want to check out the fundraisers scheduled for the month? Want to see only the press conferences scheduled? Now you can look at any category alone by clicking on the icon for it. Simply click on the bedopror sgraphic at the top of the PLS Events Calendar for easy viewing (and remember you can save it right into Outlook by clicking on the graphic next to the event!).
 
new Want to keep up on the latest information on reapportionment/redistricting? Just be sure the terms are in your Newswriter and you will be notified anytime related information is posted.
 
newEmail Alert Track Update: You can modify your email alert tracks to receive notification when meetings are scheduled or stories posted for your selected committees, instead of getting all of them. Go to the Track tab>Create/Modify Track>Choose the appropriate Email Alert Track>Select Committees for Notification. Select specific committees for notification. You will also receive notification if a bill you are tracking is on the agenda.
 
infoWant to increase/decrease your Newswriter alerts? Go to: Commonwealth Clips>Newswriter Setup>Edit Newswriter>How Often Delivered>Choose…real time, every 2,4,or 8 hours or once a day!
 
infoMember Voting Scorecard – From the PLS Member pages, you can now view how members vote on your tracked and positioned legislation, with Statistical Analysis. Go to any member page>scroll down to "Voting Record Scorecard">choose a track>click compile. Also: Go to Reports>Voting Stats>and choose a track to see how the chambers at large vote on your bills.
 
infoSort Votes by Party or Office. Go to: Session tab>Senate or House Info>Vote Sheet>and click on the blue header to sort (Legislator, Party, or Office).
