Title: Legislative Internship Description: Looking for a hands-on experience in state government? Pennsylvania Legislative Services (PLS), a legislative tracking and reporting company based in Harrisburg, is looking for legislative interns for fall '10. Duties include attending hearings, committee meetings and press conferences and writing articles or reports on those events, summarizing legislation and assisting in the maintenance of our website, as well as general office duties such as scanning, faxing and photocopying. Interns will be compensated and we are willing to work with the interns to ensure that they receive academic credit when possible. Hours can range from 20-50 hours/week, depending on the needs of the intern, the schedule of the legislature, and the number of interns hired. The ideal candidate will have an interest in politics and/or the political process, excellent writing skills and be familiar with computer programs such as adobe and the Microsoft Office.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with politics and the legislative process. The start date of the internship is flexible, around the beginning of January.
